Meet the South Oak Cliff "Golden" pIVOTEERS
Ms. Kayla Evans
The Pivoteers Dance Troupe is under the direction of Ms. Kayla Evans who is a proud graduate of Prairie View A&M University. She received her formal training under Dr. Margaret Sharod while dancing with the award winning Black Foxes. Ms. Evans says that her passions are dance and guiding her students to greatness. Ms. Evans uses dance as a vehicle to push her students to excel in the classroom and the dance studio. Ms. Evans has high expectations for her girls and expects nothing but the best from the Pivoteers.
How Do I Join?
The South Oak Cliff Pivoteers is an exciting performing dance ensemble that not only compliments the band but also has many events and competitions that these scholarly ladies excel in year around. Try-outs are held in the Spring.
Requirements for Pivoteers Try-Outs:
1. Have a cumulative average of 2.5
2. Be in good standing with all of your teacher
3. Have two recommendations from your current teachers
4. Complete required essay
5. Successfully complete interview process
